The PVHS Student Council will host the 4th Annual Halloween Dance for SMJUHSD students with severe disabilities on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
More than 100 students from local high schools are expected to attend the party. It starts at 10:30 a.m. inside the cafeteria.
The dance gives students a chance to socialize and celebrate with their school-age peers, according to Panther Special Education Teacher Jody Dowell.
“It’s an opportunity for students to dance, laugh and have fun,’’ Dowell added. “Many of the students know each other from earlier elementary and junior high, but rarely get an opportunity to interact as they moved onto high school. You can expect to see many smiling faces from everyone in attendance.’’
