PVHS athletes and club members recently spent a day perfecting their leadership skills. “Leadership Development Day” was hosted by the Panther Student Council and featured a facilitator from the California Association of Student Leaders. About 168 students participated in games and discussions designed to improve the ways they can use their leadership to bring students together, according to Activity Director Lisa Walters. They also learned about teambuilding, communicating, connecting and taking risks. “It was really fun and good training,’’ said senior Sasha Brafman, who is also on the soccer team. “It gave us new ways to look at our team and I found out things I never knew.’’ Soccer player Jennifer Martinez described the day as “great”. “I cannot wait until we can do it again next year,’’ she added.
