Justin Garcia scored some big points with San Diego Christian College.

The Righetti High School Varsity Basketball Team standout will sign a Letter of Intent at 4:30 p.m. on May 28 inside the cafeteria, according to Athletic Director Joe Graack.

“It’s an honor to play at the next level,’’ Garcia said. “It was not easy to get here but it is well worth the sacrifices my family made for me. If you want something, go get it; it is not going to just come to you.’’

Garcia was the top guard in the conference and was recognized as the Defensive MVP of the PAC-8 conference, according to Head Coach Kevin Barbarick.

“I am extremely proud of Justin,’’ Barbarick said. “He has worked really hard to realize his goal of becoming a college basketball player.’’

Garcia will receive a 25 percent scholarship, Graack added.
