Delta High School Blood Drive back button

Delta High School students and staff will help keep others alive with a blood drive on Friday, Oct. 2.

The school will partner with United Blood Services from 8 a.m. to about 11 a.m. at the campus, 4893 Bethany Lane. Parents are also expected to participate.

Student Skyler Followill believes the time spent donating is worth it.

“I do it because I know it can help someone in an emergency situation and it takes nothing away from me,’’ said Followill, adding his past experiences have been positive.

Career Center Technician Jamie Ellis is certain this community outreach builds character and empathy.

“It gives students and staff a sense of pride,’’ Ellis said.

Last May, about 24 students and a few staff members donated blood
