ERHS Math Teacher Has Number Retired Before Game back button

A former Righetti legendary softball pitcher who went on to become a member of the UCLA Hall of Fame and later return as a teacher will have her high school jersey retired on Friday, April 29.

Math Teacher Tracy Compton Davis is scheduled to throw out the first pitch before the 4:30 p.m. battle between the Varsity Warriors and the Pioneer Valley High School Panthers at the Orcutt campus.

The recognition ceremony is expected to start about 3:30 p.m. along with the senior ceremony as it is the last home game of the year.

Compton Davis graduated from Righetti High School in 1981 and had a successful career as the pitcher for the high school team where she led them to several CIF Championships. Compton Davis received a full scholarship to UCLA where she continued her pitching career. She was just named to the Pac -12 All-Century Softball Team.

Compton Davis is also a Sophomore Class advisor, and she helps coach the Girls Golf team.
