Promoting Righetti’s future community college students is the theme of an ongoing series of sessions for the Reach Higher Academy on Saturday, April 1.
The Reach Higher: Bulldog Edition, which starts at 8:30 a.m. and wraps up just after noon inside the cafeteria, is part of the former First Lady’s Reach Higher Initiative to inspire every student in America to complete their education beyond high school.
Graduating students, who have already taken the START test (English and math placement), will be able to conclude the final steps of AHC’s priority registration with a new student orientation and an academic advising workshop. Then, they will be divided into small groups for talks about 4-year transfer, AA /AS degrees and undeclared plans.
“Our partnership with AHC is a win-win for everyone, especially our students,’’ said School Counselor Eric Blanco.
The discussions also involve information about FAFSA or Dream Act applications.
Similar events have already been held at SMHS and PVHS
