SMJUHSD EAOP UC Success Night back button

The academic accomplishments of about 130 Santa Maria Joint Union High School District students will be highlighted during "UC Success Night" Friday, April 28th.

The students, who are from throughout SMJUHSD sites and their families, are gathering from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Community Center. The program features awards and speakers (in English and Spanish) who plan to stress the importance of education and how it makes goals a reality.

"This is one of my favorite events because it showcases how four years of dedication and hard work can really payoff for those students and their families that have done the right things, worked hard, and poured their hearts into making education dreams come true,’’ said UCSB-Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) Director Britt Ortiz.

EAOP is a partnership between SMJUHSD and UCSB to engage college readiness and provide guidance, according to LCFF Task Force Coordinator Steve Molina.
