The SMHS CSF (California Scholarship Federation) student canned food drive is helping fill the empty shelves of the needy this holiday season.
They collected more than 800 canned goods and other non-perishables and plan to donate them to the Food Bank of Santa Maria, according to English/AVID Teacher Elissa Gonzalez.
“As one of the CSF advisers, along with Anita Solomon, I was really amazed and appreciative of what our Saint's accomplished! Much thanks and gratitude go out to the SMHS staff and students.’’ Gonzalez added.
Students found the experience rewarding.
