PVHS Singer back button

A PVHS singer has sung his way to the top in a county-wide competition, earning private sessions with music star Kenny Loggins.

Daniel Geiger, who is one of 10 finalists in the Teen Star Competition, now moves on to perform in the Showcase Finale on Feb. 24th at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara.

Geiger was selected from some of the county’s most talented teenagers after interviewing and auditioning with the song "Dream a Little Dream of Me" before a panel of judges.

"The experience has been incredible,’’ Geiger said. "Even though I have been involved in the Teen Star Competition the past few years, this year is special because Kenny Loggins is working with me not only on my songs for the competition but he is also mentoring me as an individual, as an artist. He has helped me to build confidence in myself as a person, and as a performer. This year, my goal is to show a fearlessness and power that I haven't allowed myself to express. In short, I want to be fully myself in the competition this year, and let that be enough, come what may."
