Sixteen Righetti FFA members competed in four career development areas including Ag Welding, Poultry, Fruit Trees, and Floral Design at the Fresno State FFA Field Day on April 21st.

The Righetti FFA Poultry Team placed 1st High team overall. Individually, Brooke Barredo Placed 1st high individual, Jazzlynn Franco 2nd high individual, Sonora Robertson 4th high individual, and Yerlin Heredia 6th high individual.

Brooke Barredo stated, “I was excited and proud for myself and my team. This is really motivating us for the State Finals in Cal Poly next week.”

The Fruit Tree Judging Team tied for 2nd high team in the state of California. The team consisted of Max Guerra, Josh Lopez, Kaili Villanueva, and Hannah Pope. Max Guerra tied for 1st high individual and said, “I have been competing on the Fruit Tree Judging Team for three years now and finally being able to receive a high individual award in the State is truly a great accomplishment.”


The Floral Design Team included Isabella Ramos, Yvette Smith, and Raelynn Cortez. The Ag Welding Team included Rafael Chavez, Hudson Housley, Oscar Gonzalez, and Noah Montey.


The Poultry, Welding, Floral Design, and Vegetable Teams will compete at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for the State FFA Finals on May 5th.


“It was a day filled with competition, success, and learning experiences,’’ said RHS FFA Reporter Carolina Lemus. “The teams have been working hard and attending practices for hours after school. Good luck to all individuals and teams competing as they continue to strive and Lead a Legacy. Thank you for all the continuous support.’’


More than 3,000 FFA members attended the Fresno State FFA Field day from across the state.
