PVHS Rivas Signing back button

PVHS lady wrestler Gabriela Rivas is taking her talents to the next level.

The panther is scheduled to sign her Letter of Intent to Iowa’s Waldorf University at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday (May 9th) inside the library, according to Athletic Director Greg Lanthier.

Rivas, who plans to study Education with a minor in English, was a varsity starter and earned All CIF and ALL League honors. The team was league and regional champions several times.

“It means the world to me because I never thought I’d have this opportunity,’’ she said. “It makes me so proud especially because I’m a first generation college student. I selected Waldorf because it had a home-like feeling that I didn’t get while visiting other campuses and that made my choice much easier.’’
